An Original Layering Machine: Part 1

Unboxing an exciting piece of Reggae inspired music gear

Known as a EP-40, this arrived in the mail today:

Unboxed Riddim

It is a interesting music sampler with a lot of features. Check it out! The artwork is amazing to me…

Riddim

This is the microphone called the Ting- it is comparably lo-fi to the main board.

Ting

The Ting accepts a USB-C input and can be configured with JSON of all things! Im learning more about this.

This is my ultimate setup so far of my gear with the Ting, EP-40, EP-133 and M-1 headphones… playing loops from the Riddim and into the EP-133 and recording specific samples - happiness!

My Setup

Feeling flash! This is a fun amount of music gear.

I have so many questions, plans, projects for this gear… so many ideas for fun.

Download audio

(This is my first attempt in a while at uploading audio to my site with an audio element)

This is just part 1… more to come… beginning a new journey!

My first major note is that learning the EP-133 at first was hard, and the background I have from that makes this feel easier in some ways, which is fun.
