Helms deep for the web: an archivalists experience
The web is, and remains, a bountiful platform for science and humanity. But it also comes at costs, or these these various problems which build off the enormous momentum the web has provided.
Indeed, it is under constant conflict, like a Bayeux Tapestry experience from afar and close up. What an amazing wonder the web can provide, and then, through its sheer force of power, enable others with much less good ideas and intentions and execution of those ideas?
The ability to cite, prove stuff to a reasonable degree
The internet archive is treated almost as an after thought by many. Yet it, and the ecosystem of tools around it are so essential.
